2024 Combined Schools Musical

Our musical productions combine community and creativity, with many talented individuals working to bring our musicals to life. Whether you are centre stage or in the orchestra, behind the scenes or front of house, our community musical production is an unforgettable experience where everyone is welcome. 

Our combined schools musical allows the Gladstone Region’s wonderful young students to showcase their talents and build confidence. Working together to see a production come together is an experience like no other. And of course, when opening night arrives, we host some of the proudest audiences imaginable!

    Selection Criteria

    1. Experience as a pianist. 

    2. Experience working on a musical. 

    3. Experience reading a score and ability to sight read. 

    4. Ability to play upright and electric/ keyboard piano.

    1. Experience working as a musical director and/or lead musician, particularly relative to theatre or performances

    2. Experience working on or as part of a musical

    3. Please state how you will recruit members for the musical

    3. Please outline how you would work with the director to schedule rehersals, to ensure enough attention and development is provided for vocal delivery

The Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre community musical objective 

GECC has proudly been producing musicals for over 20 years. 

This includes Combined Schools and Community Musical Production. This initiative brings together our community musicians, performers, singers, dancers, actors and performing arts creatives such as lighting, sound and set design professionals. 

Each year this production enables musical participants from the Gladstone Region to develop their creative skills in a professional environment.
